Hello all to my first blog! I am excited to be able to use this vehicle to give out information about chiropractic, the chiropractic office, what to expect from your chiropractor, and treatments at a chiropractic office. Now I can't claim to encompass the type of practice that all chiropractors have, but I can say I practice like most with traditional chiropractic and physical therapy.
First for this blog I'd like to give readers a little knowledge about myself. My name is Dr. Rey Rivera and I was born and raised in the RGV (Rio Grande Valley). I am married to a wonderful wife and have two children. I am a graduate from Sharyland High School and attende college at the Univeristy of Texas Pan American and South Texas College. I moved to Dallas in 2001 where I enrolled at Parker College of Chiropractic and recieved my Bachelor Degree of Science in Anatomy and Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic. I graduated from Parker College in 2004 and opened my first chiropractic practice in the DFW metroplex. In 2009 a move back to the RGV allowed me to open Archangel Clinic of Chiropractic and get get closer to family. I am loving the change back to my roots and hope to help as many people that I can with the gift of chiropractic.
With the need for change in our healthcare, I beleive that chiropractors are in line to help people change their lives when it comes to their health. Chiropractors are known for there "back pain and neck pain" healing abilities as working with the spine is where our roots are, however, chiropractic has come a long way and treatments within the office are amongs the most advanced you can recieve short of having surgery. In addition, most chiropractors incorporate supplements as means to treat patients along with body detox programs, weight loss programs, and support equipment. As a chiropractor in Mcallen, I hope to educate the general public about these other aspects of the chiropractic office and also show that chiropractic can be more that just "back pain and neck pain".
